If I was to list the elements that are most important to me in my search for excellent cycling sunglasses they would be: comfort (no face, or head pain on long rides), color (white is always best to look 'pro'), and changeable lenses (depending on light conditions) . . . . I've found them!

The first time I saw the Smith Reactors I was attracted by their pro look immediately – white frames with clear lenses, just the look I have been looking for to match the SuperPrestige and the CX World Cup! If you are looking for a new piece of kit to help you in wretched winter conditions these are your sunglasses!
Even in the worst situations - bad visibility, cold, wind and sand storms (for you Beijingers), they will protect your eyes from damage. I was even more surprised when I looked further into the design: made in Japan, inside the glasses the arms are painted with zebra stripes, which matched perfectly with the black color of the rubber grippers for your ears. The design is amazingly neat and tidy with a fashionable 'action sports' look. Reality The plastic frame is no different to other high end glasses on the market, but the delicate workmanship really makes it stand out. The design of the frame matches my face shape and covers my eyes properly and effectively.
Fit We can’t complain anything about the look, workmanship or weight of the Smith Reactor, but these are not the only important elements of sports glasses. So what is important? FIT. Again, Smith continues to impress by introducing a model designed specifically for the Asian market, specially designed to fit Asian people. When I put them on my face, I can barely sense any pressure. My head is not overly wide as I have no problem wearing either Smith or Oakley. However, the advantages of the Asian fit design stand out after a long ride - the legs of the Oakley Radar glasses squeeze into my head and get painful, but amazingly I feel nothing - no pain, no pressure, no discomfort - when the Reactors are on my face.

The rubbers over the nose bridge and the frame legs reduce the comfortability somewhat - they also make the glasses unstable on your face. In addition, I find that the adjustable nose bridge is not terribly user-friendly (or adjustable). I understand the nose bridge design can change sizes to increase stability, but for a normal person without any related training and/or tools, it is not very practical to make the adjustment. At least I can’t do it. . . .
Changing lenses is relatively easy. Simply pull each lens firmly and slowly in a downward motion away from the nose bridge. Then place the outer edge of the new colored lens into the groove in the frame and slide it until it locks into place. Smith offers your various lenses to satisfy your requirements in all different kinds of environments through out the year. The whole lot comes in a zipped hard case to prevent them being damaged - a nice touch.
Bottom Line Overall, I am satisfied with the Smith Reactors – brilliant looking, light weight and with changeable lenses. More importantly the Asian fit design improved the comfortability to a great extent.
