I have been riding Specialized helmets since I bought one way back in the late 90's. Back then Specialized was just really gaining a foothold in the helmet game, but they were still a sought after item. The new Specialized S-Works Team helmet has come a long way from those days.

Tech: Shimano Dyna-Sys XTR 10 speed Testing - Part 3

As you saw, cyclingnewsasia spent a solid two days testing out the new 2011 XTR Dyna-Sys components for both cross-country racers and trail riders. It was concluded that this new XTR, developed under the Shimano concept of “Rider Tuned”, definitely sets a new benchmark for riders in terms of smoother transmission and improved traction.  The “Rider Tuned” technology is designed to seamlessly meet the needs and the riding styles of individual mountain bikers whether they are X-C racers or recreational trail riders.

Tech: Shimano Dyna-Sys XTR 10 speed Test days

Recently Shimano invited a select group of media representatives to attend a 2-day camp at the famous Nanjing Botanical Gardens for the purpose of test riding the new 2011 Dyna-Sys XTR Mountain bike set-up. Cyclingnewsasia had two of our guys there to attend the event and gain experience riding the new system Shimano has launched. The new Groupset will be available in Chinese bike shops from September onwards.  Cyclingnewsasia shares our first impressions gleaned from the 2-days of riding as well as comparisons with the old XTR nine-speed group-set.
