Today, the last day of the race included 10 laps in Boele city. The Xinjiang Pro Team attacked at the start of the race again. Team Chain’s Sprockets worked hard as a team trying to get them back but no other teams worked to assist them. Frederick Croneborg from the team finished in the chasing group and got the 11th place which put him in the 7th place on GC while his teammate Kaiyuan sprinted to 3rd position in the peloton which kept the team 7th in the team classification.

Ivan Basso (Liquigas-Doimo) collected the final overall victory at the 2010 Giro d’Italia on Sunday as Gustav Erik Larsson (Saxo Bank) won the final stage, a 15km time trial through the streets of Verona.

Today stage took riders a total distance of 95km. The stage took riders mostly downhill for the first 30km's, 30km's of killer climbing (900m in about 1km) then downhill to the finish for the final 35km.
