Around 50 riders were in attendance for the first race of the year and local Beijing powerhouse team Holy Brother was out in force for the race held in quite cold conditions (below freezing and snow flurries at the start). The Elite race had 12 riders on the start line, with four in the ladies category.

For the first few laps there was a group of 5 riders together including Todd McKean. Reports lead us to believe that this group stayed away for most uf the race until McKean got a bit of a gap and was able to hold it until the end.

  1. Todd McKean
  2. Tony Orvain (Holy Brother)
